West Midlands Combined Authority is seeking a contract for the provision of transport infrastructure grounds maintenance across TfWM's asset portfolio (bus shelters, park and ride sites), including vegetation management and winter maintenance throughout the colder months. This contract also includes the provision of litter picking and quoted works following grounds maintenance tasks. TfWM has made a commitment to and is working to develop good practice in infrastructure sustainability, including green and sustainable technologies in the design, refurbishment and maintenance of transport infrastructure facilities. The Service Provider will be required to demonstrate a commitment to sustainability by integrating sustainable development into their operating practices and culture throughout the contract. This can be achieved by using low fuel consumption and emissions vehicles, optimising visits to each site, recycling of waste materials, disposing of any controlled waste in an approved manner, work with reusable components, using innovative designs and green technology or ethically sourced materials. Infrastructure and assets are to be efficiently controlled and managed, creating an environment that is well maintained for the safety and experience of public transport users. Principal aims of this contract include: • Effective management of services, inspections of sites where required and maintenance of assets and equipment, to ensure that TfWM: • Maintains the condition of assets to ensure they function safely • Presents a respectable appearance of TfWM assets • Reduces exposure to liability and mitigates risk • Maintaining and continuously improving the professional standard of service across all operational transport assets, to ensure: • TfWM service levels are achieved to standards set out in the specification and within agreed timescales • The Service Provider is focused on the safety of the public, staff, visitors and contractors • Customer satisfaction is considered at all times

South Derbyshire District Council (the Council) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Supplier to undertake external landscaping works at Granville Recreation Ground, Woodville, Swadlincote. This procurement relates to the development and improvement of an existing park and is focused on delivering enhanced facilities for the local community, including the installation of a new children's play area, together with associated hard landscaping and supporting works as defined within the Schedule of Works, drawings and specifications included in the Tender Pack. The scheme has been developed following community consultation, with member engagement undertaken and a plan agreed. The Council is now moving into delivery and is seeking a contractor capable of providing a well-managed, safe, and high-quality construction solution that meets relevant standards and aligns with the required programme. Tenderers will be expected to demonstrate a clear methodology and delivery programme, with appropriate quality assurance, reporting, and site management arrangements.

Rhododendron control is required over the Southern mosses with the density and size of rhododendron varying considerably from very small plants to very large bushes above head height. Because of this, we have broken these areas down as shown on the attached map. These areas will require different methods of treatment depending on the size of the rhododendron and should be priced accordingly. Please see RFQ for full details.

Canada Farm Meadows are part of Shapwick Heath SSSI. They are an area of species-rich floodplain meadows on deep peat. It is designated for its species-rich grassland, breeding waders, and ditch fauna and flora. The ditches are in Unfavourable Condition as they are dry throughout the year except during winter flooding. They have become isolated from the rest of the catchment as they no longer convey water because they are heavily silted and in parts covered in scrub; water control structures no longer function due to lack of management. This inability to convey water into this site during the spring and summer months causes the deep peat soils (averaging 2.00 meters) to dry out, oxidise and release carbon, increasing atmospheric CO₂ levels and contributing to climate change. Restoring the Canada Farm Meadow ditches and replacing defunct culverts will allow water to reach throughout the site all year round. This site will become wetter benefiting wet grassland species and breeding waders, and the high ground-water table will create more favourable anaerobic conditions for peat soils to reduce oxidisation rates and CO₂ emissions. This scheme shall contribute to government targets to reduce CO₂ emissions from peat and improve habitat conditions for the biodiversity of this wetland landscape. Requirement Replace four defunct culverts and restore 700 metres of ditches across 10.6 hectares of floodplain grazing marsh on deep peat soils. Culverts are to allow cattle and agricultural machinery to cross ditches. We are looking to add exciting, inclusive, and challenging pieces of play equipment which will be economic and easy to maintain in the long term. We are targeting two parks within the Borough, and need to complete these projects before Spring 2027, due to funding constraints. All proposed play equipment shall conform to EN1176. New playground equipment to be installed to the manufacturer’s instructions and to EN1176/77 including free space around equipment and zoning as appropriate. The play areas will be subject to an independent post installation inspection. All play equipment to be provided with impact absorbing surfacing beneath equipment, areas and depths in accordance with minimum use zones and critical fall heights appropriate to each play item. Play equipment to be as durable and long-lasting as possible with high quality materials, where steel is used it should be hot dip galvanised.

The Wells-next-the-Sea children's playground is on Beach Road beside the Quay. It has been a playground for at least 65 years and has established equipment added to over the years. This has been well maintained and is not going to be replaced. The Council now has £80,000 to add to the facility. Our focus is provision for under 5s and inclusivity. We have run a survey with our schools and their wish list is 1) Swing Set - two inclusive swings seats and one parent and toddler swing seat 2) An inclusive trampoline 3) An inclusive roundabout 4) A toddler activity house 5) A toddler music activity We also need to include a suitable pathway to the new equipment for buggies and wheelchairs and the correct surfaces under the equipment. Consideration of the fact that this playground is next to the sea needs to influence the choice of materials used to make the equipment. We are looking for a contractor who would supply and install the equipment, make ready and make good the surfaces and pathways, and remove any unwanted materials resulting from necessary groundworks associated with the project. We are hoping to start the project at the beginning of September 2026, with ground broken by the 30th. We would be happy to show any prospective contactor around the site. We are hoping to follow this with a phase 2 playground development in 2028.
